Development of the Player Passport covered searches by name, registration number and ENI, history views and contract records. Permissions depended on the organisation’s position in the RFU hierarchy. The system provided a check for registration at another club and used claims and a conflict log to handle disputed cases. A shared database was thus combined with each organisation’s responsibility for its records.
